While we may consider adding additional sources for audience review content, we do not alter or target specific sources for news or PR. Our goal is to capture top news stories as they exist naturally for all the brands in the competitive set.
There are two metrics in BlueOcean that could be helpful for understanding news.
News Sentiment (Revered: Inspiring)
We assess news sentiment by gathering the top 100 results from news.google.com for the last 30 days. The news articles are crawled by BlueOcean technology, and sentiments are scored relative to the competitive set. News sentiment is updated every 4-7 days.
Search Prominence (Relevant: Influential)
Search prominence can also help you understand your brand’s relative search interest. This metric gathers all search volume for a brand term on google trends over the last 90 days. We exclude news specifically published by the brand, including press releases. The news targeting is filtered by brand. We do not currently weigh news or section them into tiers based on publications.
