Follow these helpful tips to share a dashboard, or watch our quick tutorial.
To get started, find and click the sharing icon in the top right corner of the dashboard you wish to share.
Select the person you want to share with, from the drop-down menu of your teammates with access to Brand Navigator, and hit the “invite” button.
The person you shared with will receive an email with a link to the dashboard, and you will see a pop-up that confirms your invite was sent successfully. Within the pop-up, you can copy a sharing link, which will only work for the users you’ve added to your dashboard through invitation. You can view any dashboards that have been shared with you directly in the “shared with me” section of “My Dashboards”
Recipients of a dashboard cannot edit or share the dashboard. However, changes made by the dashboard owner, will propagate to the recipient. A recipient can duplicate a shared dashboard for themselves and make any changes they wish, and the sharing permissions will NOT flow to the duplicate. They will have to be re-shared with desired users.
Once you’ve shared a dashboard, the sharing icon will appear with a new visual indicator (a darker background color), to show that it is now a shared dashboard. You can revoke permissions to a shared dashboard at any time, and doing so will not change or remove any duplicates that the recipient has made. Do this by clicking the share button and managing in the “people with access” section. Deleting a dashboard that has been previously shared, will also remove the dashboard for any recipients.
