What is the Creative Analysis Beta?

What is Creative Analysis Beta? Where can I find it? 

Creative Analysis is a beta feature in Brand Navigator. It replaces what was formerly called “Creative” – you can find it in the same spot  by hovering over the fly out menu on the left, and selecting “Creative Analysis”.  Creative Analysis Beta helps you improve the ROI of your campaigns with seamless access to paid media and creative performance insights. With these new capabilities, you can:

  • Evaluate competitor spend overall and across specific channels to inform your own marketing mix
  • Analyze advertising spend efficiency for digital channels with benchmarks tailored to your specific competitive set
  • Compare creative look & feel across the competition to optimize your existing creative mix and inspire new approaches

As a beta feature, we hope to use our customer feedback to inform how we deliver the best possible products that help you unlock your own creativity.  If you’re interested in sharing your experience, we encourage you to reach out to your BlueOcean Customer Success Manager for information on participating in a Creative Analysis feedback session.  Be sure to explore deeper:

  • Within Overview, you can view the latest creative, spend volumes, and spend by channel from each of the brands you track. Hover over an ad to see spend, impression, and CPM metrics by ad unit.  You can even click an ad for a closer look (watch videos, or listen to radio clips). 
  • Within Advertising, you can dig deeper into metrics for individual brands you track (and compare brands against each other). Look at share of spend, competition averages, CPM, and view creatives side-by-side.
  • Within Website, you’ll be able to see creative as it shows up on each brand’s website. The images within Website are screenshots from each brand’s website, captured by BlueOcean on a weekly basis.  Each image specifies the correlated brand, website and date it was captured.  

Where does advertising data come from? 

Advertising data within Creative Analysis is built with a proprietary model from BlueOcean, which ingests data sources from partners like Kantar.  For more information on data within Creative Analysis Beta, check out How does data in Creative Analysis Beta work. 

Does Creative Analysis beta data impact my Blue Score? 

Creative Analysis does not currently integrate into your BlueScore. Since this data is not connected to your BlueScore, you will not see any impact on your Market Index scores.  As a beta feature, we hope to learn more about how customers are using this section before we integrate into scoring. 

How do I get access to Creative Analysis Beta?
